What is oral conscious sedation, and how does it work?
Oral conscious sedation is one type of sedation dentistry solution used to ease patients who have dental anxiety. Instead of using a gas like nitrous oxide, this method of sedation uses a medication that is taken before the dental appointment. Patients arrange transportation to Riverside Dental Clinic, where they will arrive relaxed and comfortable. They are awake and able to follow instructions, ask questions, and talk with the dentist, and by the end of their treatment, they can return home to rest. Once they awaken, they often have little to no recollection of their visit to the dental chair, but their necessary dental work will be complete!
