Dr. Ken Poznikoff,

General Dentist

Dr. Poznikoff is the Owner and a General Dentist at Riverside Dental Clinic.

He has been serving the Drumheller Community for over 30 years and continues to accept new patients.

Dr. Poznikoff graduated from the University of Alberta in 1986 and Holds B.Sc. degrees in both Science and Pharmacy. He has completed numerous educational courses in Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, and Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Poznikoff also has hospital privileges at the Drumheller Regional Health Complex and provides surgical procedures and dental rehabilitation under general anesthetic.

His focus is on building long-term relationships where his patients look forward to seeing him and his staff as much as he personally enjoys educating and treating them. He is dedicated to continuing education for general and cosmetic dentistry as well as orthodontics so that he can provide his patients with the most up to date procedures and technology in the dental field.

Dr. Claude Boutin,

Orthodontist

Dr. Claude Boutin is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthodontics who operates a specialty orthodontic practice in Calgary, Alberta, and practices at Riverside Dental Clinic as a satellite office.

He completed his dental training at the University of Alberta in 1986 and practiced general dentistry for 3 years in Alberta before enrolling in graduate orthodontic training at the University of Toronto in 1989.
Dr. Boutin holds a Fellowship in the Specialty of Orthodontics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is recognized by the Alberta Dental Association as a certified specialist. He strives to remain at the forefront of emerging technologies in orthodontics and attends national meetings and orthodontic conventions every year, as a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Boutin has been active as an executive member of the Alberta Society of Orthodontists and in facilitating local scientific sessions for the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. He has been invited to lecture at the American Association of Orthodontists largest annual meeting.

Dr. Boutin and his wife Diane are busy raising four children and they feel privileged to support community projects that focus on families, especially ones like the new Alberta Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Choo-Soon Kua,

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, General Dentist

Dr. Choo-Soon Kua is a Certified Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a General Dentist. Dr. Kua was born and raised in Calgary. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2008. Dr. Kua obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Western Ontario in 2012.

Following the completion of his doctorate, Dr. Kua practiced general dentistry in Calgary and Bowden Correctional Institution for two years before being accepted into and completing his specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. His residency consisted of rotations in anesthesia, general surgery, otolaryngology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and critical care medicine. He is trained in all aspects of anesthesia, complex dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, head and neck trauma, orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), oral and maxillofacial pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction and temporomandibular joint disorders.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York, Dr. Kua served as a front-line healthcare provider as a Chief Resident mainly providing anesthesia to those affected by the illness. He is glad to return to his hometown as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon serving Alberta. In his spare time, Dr. Kua enjoys running, archery, gaming, keeping up with the latest technology, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Hosam Salaheldeen,

General Dentist

Dr. Hosam Salaheldeen graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery (Honours) degree. Afterwards, he spent 1 year as a Restorative dentistry resident at Future University in Egypt. In 2013, Dr. Salaheldeen started as a resident of Oral Medicine and Periodontology in the Faculty of Dentistry, Mansoura University. In 2015, got The Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDSRCs Edin.) of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the UK, then in 2017 got an MSc degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontology.

Dr. Salaheldeen practised General Dentistry for 8 years before moving to Canada to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan 2021.

Outside Dentistry, played as a professional Handball player for 8 years, enjoys playing soccer and travelling.
