What is Invisalign Orthodontics, and How Does it Work?

Fortunately, there have been dramatic improvements in the techniques used to achieve straighter smiles, and now patients can use Invisalign, a clear aligner option.
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that gently repositions the teeth without metal. Instead, it uses a series of aligner trays. These are made of clear acrylic material. Using digital impressions of the patient’s current smile, the trays are created to get patients from point A to point B of their treatment. Patients start with the first tray, wearing it for two weeks, and then remove it and start wearing the second tray. By the time they complete their Invisalign series, they will have achieved their dream smile!
How Do I Use Invisalign?
Patients need to ensure strict compliance to get the desired results in the specific period of time quoted at the start of treatment. The trays need to be worn for two weeks before moving on to the next in the series. They are worn at least 20 hours a day and are removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. Patients will also visit the team at Riverside Dental Clinic regularly to evaluate the changes and make sure the patient is on track to complete their treatment in the timeframe initially relayed during the first appointment.
